Meet Mahesha Kariyapperuma (@whiteshadow.artt), a Sri Lankan multidisciplinary artist whose work explores myth, memory, and contemporary life. Raised in a conservative village in Kandy and trained in Landscape Architecture at the University of Moratuwa (2024), her practice is shaped by themes of gender, ecology, economy, and cultural identity. Drawing from Sri Lanka’s rich mythical heritage, she reimagines traditional stories through a modern lens, blending conceptual thinking, spatial design, and playful storytelling.
